Know before you go: Island Peak (6,189m/20,305ft) is a popular trekking peak in the Everest region, ideal for climbers seeking their first Himalayan summit experience.; You should be physically fit, mentally prepared, and comfortable with long trekking days at high altitude. Basic mountaineering skills such as using crampons, a harness, and an ice axe are helpful, and full training is provided by our experienced Sherpa guides before the summit push.; Altitude is the biggest challenge, so proper acclimatization, slow pacing, and hydration are essential to avoid AMS (Altitude Sickness). Weather conditions can change quickly, especially near the summit.; The climb involves glacier travel, fixed ropes, and a steep headwall before reaching the summit, offering stunning views of Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, and Ama Dablam.; The best seasons are spring (March-May) and autumn (September-November) for stable weather and clear views.
