Tulum to Chichen Itza, Cenote and Valladolid
Pick up between 7:00 am - 8:00 am from Tulum. Drive for about 2 hours to reach Chichen Itza. Selected as one of the New Wonders of the World, it is one of the most spectacular archaeological sites and the most researched and reconstructed of all Mexico's ancient cities. Visitors can explore the secrets of the Mayan civilisation and gain a vision of how the city once looked. When you reach Chichen Itza, an expert guide will lead you through centuries of history and development, helping you understand the amazing architecture, art, and engineering integrated into the city. Visit renowned structures such as the Pyramid of Kukulkan and the Great Ball Court to know more about the Mayan civilization. Get away from the crowds and refresh yourselves in the blue waters of a local community-run cenote. This is another wonderful experience, with the cenote right at the centre of life in this village. The deep sinkhole is full of birds' nests and tree roots and is surrounded by mysticism and exuberant nature. Have delicious regional cuisine in the courtyard of a restored colonial mansion, and wander around the city of Valladolid, where past and present come together to delight visitors with the sights of coloured colonial architecture and the tastes of incredibly rich gastronomy. Click photographs with beautiful backdrops, go craft shopping, and get a taste of Mexican life. You will be dropped off in Tulum between 6:30 pm - 7:00 pm.
