Itinerary

  1. 1
    Day 01

    Arrival in Kathmandu

Welcome to Nepal. Our office representative will warmly welcome you upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. From this point on, every travel necessity for your holiday becomes our responsibility. First, we will transfer you to your hotel, assist with check-in, and recommend that you rest and recover from any jet lag. If you feel up to it, you can also take a short walk around the Thamel area to get a quick insight into the city's evening life.

  2. 2
    Day 02

Fly to Lukla and Trek to Phakding

Depending on your flight time to Lukla, you can either have breakfast at the hotel or get it packed if you have an early departure. During the 35-minute flight, enjoy panoramic views from the left side of the aircraft. After landing at the Lukla airstrip, we will meet the rest of the crew, including the porters, and take a tea or coffee break while they rearrange our luggage. Our trekking guide will lead the way through the National Luminary Pasang Lhamu Memorial Gate, where the epic journey to Everest Base Camp begins. After about an hour of walking, we may stop for lunch in Thado Koshi, or continue for a couple more hours and have lunch directly at our lodge in Phakding. Walking alongside the Dudh Koshi River and crossing suspension bridges, we finally arrive at Phakding. At our teahouse, the trekking guide will help allocate rooms. After a brief rest, we can enjoy a friendly chat in the dining hall or take a walk to explore nearby monasteries and villages. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

  3. 3
    Day 03

Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar

As darkness fades and sunlight appears, we enjoy our morning meal, pack up, hand our duffel bags to the porter team, and prepare for the day's walk. Following our trek guide through rocky forest trails, we take in the atmosphere of the route, including passing donkeys, rhododendron trees, and layered hills. We then enter through the Sagarmatha National Park entrance gate, passing stone steps and large mani stones. Much of the trail is downhill until we reach our lunch stop at Jorsale. After lunch, the challenging uphill walk to Namche begins. Along the way, we cross numerous suspension bridges, with the Hillary Bridge being the most iconic. If the weather is clear, we may catch our first view of Mt. Everest just a few minutes beyond the bridge. As the day continues, we arrive at the famous Sherpa town of Namche Bazaar. This amphitheatre-style village is home to many hotels, lodges, restaurants, bakeries, shops, and ATM services. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

  4. 4
    Day 04

    Acclimatization in Namche Bazaar

Today we will be above 3,000 metres, so it is important to understand altitude sickness, including its causes, symptoms, and preventive measures. If this is your first time at high elevation, mild headaches and dizziness are not unusual. You must drink plenty of water and keep your body well nourished and hydrated. After passing through the stone-paved entrance to the national park, we can enjoy excellent views of Mt. Thamserku, Mt. Ama Dablam, and Mt. Everest in the distance. It will be our best view day so far as we visit a nearby museum and hike toward Everest View Hotel via the Syangboche airstrip. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

  5. 5
    Day 05

Trek from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche

After breakfast, we get ready, take our trekking poles, and begin the walk toward Tengboche, circling a giant prayer wheel. We then enjoy a pleasant walk along flat hillside trails with charming views of Ama Dablam. After that, we descend mostly downhill through beautiful rhododendron forests and cross a suspension bridge to reach Phunki Thangka. A hearty lunch at Phunki Thangka gives us the energy needed to continue to Tengboche. The ascent is steep and strenuous through forested trails, but a sense of relief comes as soon as we reach the top of the hill and check in at a nearby lodge. The most popular and iconic attraction here is Tengboche Monastery, the oldest and biggest monastery in the Khumbu region. We may also enjoy a delicious bite of cake and bakery items at a nearby cafe. Later, we spend the evening at the tea house dining hall and stay overnight. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

  6. 6
    Day 06

    Trek from Tengboche to Dingboche

Our day begins with a mostly downhill walk through refreshing forest to Deboche. We then cross the Imja Khola on a wooden bridge and continue with a steep uphill walk toward the village of Pangboche, where we can enjoy great views of the Himalayas and surrounding landscapes. From there, we continue along rocky, dusty, and windy trails to Pangboche for lunch. As we gain elevation, we will feel the wind growing stronger. Later in the afternoon, after crossing several hills, we are delighted to spot our teahouse from a distance. Dingboche has many chortens, horse stables, and lodges, along with a few shops offering services. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

  7. 7
    Day 07

    Acclimatization Hike to Nagarjun Hill

It is fantastic to wake up to great Himalayan views from your hotel room. After an early meal, we prepare for an acclimatization hike to Nagarjun Hill. There is also another acclimatization option to hike up to Chukkung for close views of Ama Dablam, Lhotse, Island Peak, and other snowcapped Himalayas. Whichever route we take, the plan is to hike to a higher elevation and then return to our lodge in Dingboche for the night, making this a perfect active acclimatization day. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

  8. 8
    Day 08

    Trek from Dingboche to Lobuche

Today begins with a steady ascent to Dingboche Hill, and our trekking guide will lead you along gradual trails for 1-2 hours toward Dughla. Along the way, we will see the great Himalayas to the south, as well as the pass leading to Cho La. Surrounded by these wonderful Himalayan landscapes, from tiny shrubs to grand peaks and rocky mountain trails, we cross a crystal-clear river and stop for lunch at one of the two restaurants in Dughla. After a short break, we continue hiking to the top of the hill. Once at the top, it may feel as though we have arrived on a completely different planet, with the Himalayas surrounding us in every direction. It can be an emotional moment when we see memorials built in memory of those who lost their lives climbing Mt. Everest. Continuing on a gradual trail, we also see Lobuche Peak and a few camps during the spring climbing season before finally arriving at our teahouse in Lobuche. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

  9. 9
    Day 09

Trek to Gorakshep and Everest Base Camp

First, we gradually walk along rocky trails to Gorakshep, including a challenging ascent to a hilltop and an unstable route. Upon arrival at Gorakshep, we check in at one of the lodges, rest, enjoy a good meal, and then continue toward Everest Base Camp. The trail to base camp is narrow and unstable. Along the way, we face strong wind, direct sunlight, and extreme cold. Still, the views of the Khumbu Glacier and icefall are remarkable, and it is a proud moment to stand at the base of the world's highest Himalayas. Take out your camera, snap plenty of pictures, enjoy the breathtaking views, and celebrate every moment at Everest Base Camp. We then return by the same route to Gorakshep, have dinner, and stay overnight at the local lodge. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

  10. 10
    Day 10

Kala Patthar Sunrise and Descent to Pheriche

We must start before sunrise this morning to witness the best sunrise views over Mt. Everest from Kala Patthar. We then gear up and begin a steep, direct walk in the dark. From this viewpoint, we may hear the gurgling sound of ice crackling down from Nuptse and enjoy the finest views of Mt. Everest as the sun rises over the horizon, turning the white snowcapped Himalayas golden. While we are at the top of Kala Patthar, protecting ourselves from the cold is very important, so you must wear gloves and cover your entire body from top to bottom. In addition, we recommend taking hot garlic soup a couple of times a day while in Gorakshep to help prevent altitude sickness. You may also see helicopter rescues from here, as it is necessary to descend as quickly as possible if anyone's health condition worsens. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

  11. 11
    Day 11

    Return Trek to Namche Bazaar

Our return trek begins early in the morning as we retrace our steps from Pheriche back to Namche today. Most of the route is downhill, with about an hour of ascent. As we descend to lower altitudes, breathing becomes easier. Returning along the same trail also gives us a different perspective on the places we passed earlier. Once in Namche, we can buy souvenirs, take a shower, and enjoy relief for our tired muscles. After a long walking day, we reach Namche in the late afternoon and stay overnight at a teahouse. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

  12. 12
    Day 12

    Final Trek to Lukla

Today is our celebration day and our final trekking day as we make our way to Lukla. Walking through Phakding, crossing several river tributaries, and enjoying the fresh Himalayan atmosphere, we can grab a drink, dance, and celebrate our successful trek. At the end of the day, we stay overnight at a quality teahouse in Lukla.

  13. 13
    Day 13

    Fly from Lukla to Kathmandu

Enjoy your final morning in the heart of the Himalayas in the Khumbu region as we board a morning flight to Kathmandu. Upon arrival, check in at your chosen hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure. We recommend a spa visit and a stroll around the culturally rich capital city of Kathmandu. Later, we can have a farewell dinner at one of the cultural restaurants near Thamel, arranged just for you. Breakfast, Dinner
