Itinerary

Day 01

Arrival in Cairo and Egyptology Introduction

Arrive at Cairo International Airport. Meet your local representative and receive assistance with immigration and luggage. Transfer to your hotel and check in. Join the introductory meeting titled "Ancient Egypt: A General Overview and Important Sites in Cairo". Preview major archaeological sites and begin your orientation into Egyptology. Enjoy dinner and rest overnight in Cairo.

Day 02

Saqqara and the Origins of the Old Kingdom

Eat breakfast early, between 6:00 and 7:00 AM. Depart for Saqqara to explore the Zoser Complex and the Step Pyramid. Visit the Unas Pyramid Complex and several New Kingdom tombs, including those of Horemheb and Maya. Enjoy a traditional oriental lunch at the Palm Club or a nearby restaurant. Explore the Teti Cemetery and the Serapeum. Attend the second workshop titled "The Development of the Royal Tomb and the Pyramid Age". Visit Khan El Khalili and the Azhar area for dinner and Cairo sightseeing. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Giza Plateau, the Sphinx, and Memphis

Beni Hassan Tombs and Mallawy Preview

Have breakfast early in the morning. Drive to Beni Hassan and explore its famous tombs and Istabel Antar. Return for a late lunch around 5:00 PM. Attend the fifth workshop on "Mallawy Archaeological Sites". Enjoy dinner and take some free time for sightseeing in Minia.

Mallawy Museum, El Ashmunien, and El Amarna

Begin with breakfast between 7:00 and 8:00 AM. Drive to Mallawy and visit the local museum. Explore El Ashmunien (Hermopolis) and El Amarna, including all key archaeological features. Continue to Assiut for hotel check-in and dinner. Attend the sixth workshop titled "The El Amarna Age and the Ancient City of Akhenaton".

Abydos and the City of Osiris

Eat breakfast early and check out from your hotel. Drive to Abydos to visit the Seti I and Ramesses II Temples. Participate in the seventh workshop: "Abydos: The City of Osiris". Have dinner and rest overnight.

Transfer to Luxor and Evening Workshop

Eat breakfast and check out. Drive to Luxor and enjoy a relaxing free day. Take a picnic lunch during the journey. Attend the eighth workshop in the evening titled "Luxor: The Capital of the Egyptian Empire". Spend the night in Luxor.

Karnak and Luxor Temples on the East Bank

Have breakfast. Visit Karnak Temple in the morning. Eat lunch and rest. Visit Luxor Temple in the afternoon. Attend the ninth workshop titled "The West Bank: The City of the Dead". Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay in Luxor.
