Mount Sinai Sunrise Trek and St. Catherine's Monastery
You will be picked up from your hotel in Sharm El Sheikh between 8:00 PM and 9:00 PM, then travel for around 4 hours in a clean, air-conditioned vehicle to reach Moses Mountain. Upon arrival at Mount Sinai, you will begin your trekking tour to the sacred place where the Prophet Moses received the Ten Commandments. Reach 2,285 metres by climbing the final 750 steps and trekking through the night, which takes approximately 2-3 hours depending on the group. Depending on the group's performance, you may arrive at the summit earlier than expected, giving you time to relax and marvel at the rising sun as it slowly scatters across the mountains in all its splendour. While gazing at the sunrise, you can take photos or pray if you wish, then begin the descent back down. Remember that it will take around 2 hours to reach the bottom. After the long trail, enjoy some rest and then have breakfast. Next, visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of St. Catherine's Monastery. Browse the old manuscripts displayed in the library and icons excavated from the Vatican. It is the oldest functioning Christian monastery in the world, situated on the Sinai Peninsula, along with the Monastery of Saint Anthony, located across the Red Sea in the desert of South Cairo. After touring the monastery, relax on the drive back to your hotel in Sharm El Sheikh.
