After breakfast, we will set off on our journey toward Phakding. We will pass stone walls, prayer wheels, painted mani stones, and other structures along the route. From Thado Koshigaon, where we will probably eat lunch, you can see Kusum Kanguru (6367m; 20889ft) with a mesmerizing view. From there, it will take some time for us to walk to Phakding.
-

Trek to Namche Bazaar via Sagarmatha National Park
The first viewpoint for Kongde Ri is Phakding. We will leave Phakding and continue walking toward Namche Bazaar. On the way, we will cross about five suspension bridges. We will reach Monjo village by following the trail that leads to Namche. We will arrive at the entrance to Sagarmatha National Park in Jorsalle, where we will have lunch and relax for a while. As we continue our trek, the first view of Mount Everest will be from Top Danda. Spend the night in Namche Bazaar.
-
5Day 05
Acclimatization and Exploration in Namche Bazaar
Namche Bazaar has a market, a bank, an ATM, internet cafés, and gift shops. The Everest View Hotel, Khunde village, or Sherpa settlements are among our options for day activities. From the Everest View Hotel, we can see a panoramic view of Mt. Everest (8848.86m/29031ft), Khumbi Yul Lha (5761m/18900ft), Ama Dablam (6812m/22349ft), and many other mountains. Stay the night in Namche Bazaar.
-
6Day 06
Trek from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche
After breakfast, we'll depart from Namche Bazaar and head to Tengboche, passing views of Ama Dablam, Lhotse Shar, Kantenga, and Thamserku. Following the trek, we will arrive at PhunkeTenga for lunch. Tengboche is about a four-hour trek from here. We'll spend the night in Tengboche. Tengboche Monastery is one of the oldest and most beautiful spiritual Buddhist monasteries in the region.
-
7Day 07
Trek from Tengboche to Dingboche
Tengboche Monastery, the largest monastery in the area, offers prayer ceremonies in which you can participate in the morning. Afterwards, we'll begin our journey to Dingboche, passing through Deboche, Pangboche, Somare, and Orsho. We will cross multiple suspension bridges over the Imja Khola and enjoy great landscape views. Stay the night in Dingboche.
-
8Day 08
Short Acclimatization Trek to Chukung
It is a short hike from Dingboche to Chukung. Due to the low oxygen levels, even moving slowly is challenging at this high altitude. Chukung lies on the Island Peak hiking trail. We'll spend the night in Chukung for another acclimatization day and save energy for the long and challenging day that follows.
-
9Day 09
Cross Kongma La Pass to Lobuche
It'll be a little harder today than other days, but for a good reason. We are going to trek off the beaten trails and see untouched nature. We will start our journey from Chukung early in the morning after breakfast with our packed lunch, as there is no proper lunch stop between Chukung and Lobuche. We will cross the Kongma La Pass at 5535 meters (18159 feet). To get to the high camps of Pokalde (5806m/19048ft.) and the blue lakes, we must trek across a series of challenging hills. We'll reach Kongma La Pass after that. It's time to celebrate with beautiful mountain views from Kongma La Pass. Then, we will cross the Khumbu Glacier on our way to Lobuche. Stay the night at Lobuche. This is a big but fruitful day.
-
10Day 10
Trek to Gorak Shep and Hike to Everest Base Camp
We trek along the Everest Base Camp trail (5364m; 17598ft) to reach Gorakshep after having breakfast at Lobuche. Through rock layers and along a challenging trail, we reach Everest Base Camp. Even though today is difficult, it will be worthwhile to arrive at the base camp of the tallest peak in the world. We leave Gorakshep after lunch and proceed to Everest Base Camp. We'll stay at the base camp for a while before returning to Gorakshep.
-
11Day 11

Everest (8,848.86 meters, 29031 feet), Lingtren (6,749 meters, 22142 feet), Khumbutse (6,636 meters, 21771 feet), Changtse (7,550 meters, 24770 feet), Nuptse (7861 meters), and other peaks from Gorakshep. After breakfast at Gorak Shep, we will return the same way to Lobuche. From Lobuche to Dzongla, where we will descend, we will see Mount Cholatshe's north face (6330m; 20784ft).
-
12Day 12
Cross Chola Pass to Thangnak
We continue our adventure and cross the Chola Pass, one of the three high passes in the Everest region, at 5420 meters/17782 feet. We climb the rocky, treacherous trails and follow the snow-covered glacier to Chola Pass. After reaching the summit, we will descend through a difficult path with the potential for rock falls to Thangnak. It's one of the most interesting days as we head toward isolated valleys, leaving the main Everest trail behind.
-
13Day 13
Trek from Thangnak to Gokyo
After breakfast, we will head to the Ngozumpa Glacier, the largest glacier in the world, to reach Gokyo. The breathtaking Himalayas are a paradise. We will get to Gokyo by lunchtime, and we can explore the Gokyo Lake area after lunch. Or we can even trek up to Gokyo Ri, depending on our pace and circumstances.
-
14Day 14
