Private Tour of Alberobello's UNESCO Trulli

Your guided tour of Alberobello begins in Aia Piccola, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in the heart of the city of the trulli. Trulli are traditional houses built entirely of stone, without mortar or cement. Every year, thousands of tourists come to see the old town and visit the trulli, where tools from rural life in the early 1900s can still be seen. The visit takes place in the historic centre, following a route through its narrow streets and the trulli neighbourhoods of Aia Piccola and Monti. You will visit the ancient Church of St. Anthony, the only church in the world built in the shape of a trullo, which opened to the public in June 1927. You will also find the interior of the Sovereign Trullo, housed in the museum, where you can see decor typical of the early 1900s. Declared an Italian national monument in 1923, it was so named because it houses the Blessed Sacrament and the relics of St. Cosmas and Damian, the patron saints of the city. During the visit, you will also stop at local craft shops for shopping and a relaxing break.
