1Day 01
Arrival in Murmansk and Aurora Hunting
On arrival, our driver will meet you at the airport with a sign and take you to the hotel so you can check in. You will have free time until the evening. The Northern Lights hunting team will prepare the route for the hunt to find a location where the aurora borealis is most likely to appear. At around 9 p.m., we will pick you up from your address in the city and bring you back after the hunt. The trip lasts 3-5 hours. The outcome depends on sky conditions and geomagnetic activity. We aim for a cloudless sky and high geomagnetic activity, sometimes driving 150 kilometers from Murmansk to find the lights. If the sky is clear, the best spot may be only about 40 kilometers away. Hot tea and cookies are provided during the trip. We take photos and videos with professional cameras. You will receive them the next day. Aurora hunting is possible from September to April. Choose bright colors for your outfit, as night photos look best with vibrant colors!
