Know before you go: Bran Castle is situated not far from Brașov, at the entrance to the Bran-Rucăr passage, the gate of Transylvania. The castle gained its fame from the Dracula legend written in 1897 by Bram Stoker and later made into a film by Francis Ford Coppola. The castle was built to defend the entrance to Transylvania and to serve as a customs point. Your tour guide will tell you all the details about the castle's construction style, architecture, and historical events, and especially about the real connection between Vlad Dracula and Bran Castle.; Brașov is one of the most important cities in Romania and a very powerful medieval citadel dating from the 13th century. Vlad Dracula lived in this town for a couple of years in the 15th century. You will find out more about his activities and love affairs.; Sighișoara is closely connected with our Dracula tour because Vlad Dracula was born here, in a Middle Ages inn that is nowadays a restaurant called House of Dracula. Enjoy a walk on the narrow river-stone-paved streets and visit the town's best sights: the Clock Tower, the Church on the Hill, Tinsmith's Tower, the Church of the Monastery, and more. Sighișoara's Old Town is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.; Note: on request, we can include extra nights and travel services in Bucharest.
