Day 01

El Alamein Battlefield and War Memorials Tour

You will be picked up from your hotel in Alexandria and driven to El Alamein. Upon arrival at the Military Museum, you can explore exhibits featuring weapons, military uniforms, and tanks, offering a comprehensive understanding of the significant Battle of El Alamein. Descriptions detailing the actions of key figures such as Montgomery, Rommel, and other participants in the battle are also prominently displayed. After a lunch break, you will visit the World War II cemeteries, including the Commonwealth War Graves Cemetery and the German War Cemetery. These cemeteries are located west of the town on a small peninsula with a picturesque sea view. The citadel-like cemeteries are the final resting place of Commonwealth, Greek, Italian, and German soldiers. At the end of the tour, you will drive back to your hotel.
