Day Hike to Triund from McLeod Ganj
Your guide will meet you at the main square of McLeod Ganj market, the meeting point, and take you to the starting location of the hike at the scheduled time. Walk through a mixed forest of oak, rhododendron, and deodar trees. The trail is well marked all the way to Triund. From McLeod Ganj, it is a steep ascent of 3 to 4 hours to reach Triund. Small tea shops along the way offer refreshments. Here, you can refuel at your own expense. Triund is an alpine meadow situated atop a flat ridge, with fine views of the Dhauladhar peaks on one side and the Kangra Valley on the other. After spending quality time in the lap of the mountains, begin your descent to McLeod Ganj. Take the same route back or follow the grassy ridge, which leads to Bhagsu Nag Temple after crossing a small waterfall on the way. McLeod Ganj is only 1.5 km from Bhagsu Nag by road. At the end of the tour, you will return to the original meeting point.
