Day 01

Aci Castello and Authentic Sicilian Flavours

On this walking and dining tour, you will enjoy an authentic Sicilian experience and encounter firsthand the generous and gregarious nature of the Sicilian people. During the tour, your Italian guide will accompany you to Aci Castello. Here, visit a beautiful castle built overhanging the sea. From the terrace, you can admire the entire Ionian coast from Catania, Syracuse, and Taormina. You will also see the stacks of Acitrezza. Walk through the narrow streets of the historic centre and reach the central square overlooking the sea. Because the weather is generally favourable, this area is home to canoeing schools and sailing competitions. During this journey, your eyes will be captured by dozens of landscapes, plants, and flowers. Your senses will absorb the harsh and gentle, the sweet and bitter, that is Sicily. You will see and feel many sensations and emotions that you will hardly forget. Once in the village, eat in an excellent restaurant overlooking the sea. You may order fish caught by local anglers.
