Day 01

Santorini Caldera Cruise with Volcano, Hot Springs and Sunset

Take our Santorini Volcano Sunset Cruise and sail across Santorini's beautiful 'caldera' (flooded crater), visiting the islands of Nea Kameni and Thirasia on this 6-hour cruise. Board a sightseeing boat from the old port and admire Santorini's cliffs as you cruise to Nea Kameni. Enjoy free time to walk around its volcanic crater and swim in the warm springs. Have dinner on board and enjoy the sunset from the boat. The Santorini Volcano Sunset Cruise starts from the picturesque old port of Santorini, or from Athinios port if you book the tour with transfers. Our first destination is the famous volcano of Santorini. After 20 minutes of sailing, we will reach Nea Kameni's jetty. Should you be interested in being guided at the volcano, you should pay 5 euros per person as an entrance fee. Then, you will walk to the volcano's ridge with your guide, who will explain everything about the volcano's history and geology. You will stay on the volcanic island for 1.5 hours, and at the end, you will embark again on our boat for the next stop. The next stop will be the island of Palea Kameni, where the famous hot springs are located on the west side. This place is popular for its thermal waters. We will stop there for 30 minutes, 30 meters from the shallow waters of Agios Nikolaos beach. The waters are mixed with mud and are full of sulfur, iron, and other metals coming from the volcano, and they are perfect for the skin, rheumatism, arthritis, and other physical pains. Important Note: To reach Agios Nikolaos beach, it is essential to be an exceptionally good swimmer. Sailing above the underwater craters from Palia Kameni to Thirasia Island, the boat will anchor close to the island so you can enjoy your dinner or snack. Our experienced staff will prepare everything for you to relax and enjoy our tasteful Greek buffet while capturing amazing photos of the Aegean Sea. As our Santorini sunset cruise approaches the final location, it will be sunset time. Our boat sets sail, and the sun dives into the sea at the northernmost part of the island. Our boat will stop very close to Oia village, where you will have the chance to watch the warm light of the setting sun under the violet sky before night falls. This is the most unforgettable experience, as the caldera and the village of Oia will turn gold in colour. Your trip in this sanctuary of romance will remain in your memories and your heart forever. After departing from your last destination, the Santorini Volcano Sunset Cruise will finish at the old port of Fira. After disembarkation, you should choose one of the available ways to go back to Fira town, or, for those who have selected transfers, back to their hotel.
