Day 01

Tomar City Tour and Templar Heritage

Meet your tour guide at a pre-decided location. Start the day by walking through the Jewish Quarter and visiting its Synagogue. Head to the lovely city park with your tour guide. On the way, behold the statue of Gualdim Pais and learn about his impact on the foundation of Portugal as a country in 1139. Also, see the city church, built in the second half of the 12th century. Climb to the top of the hill to find the Templar Castle and the Convent of Christ, a World Heritage Site.
