Furnas Valley Thermal Landscapes and Cozido Experience
Connect with your tour representative to begin the itinerary. Travel to the Valley of Furnas, one of the largest thermal hydropolises in the world. Its iron-rich sulphur waters spring up everywhere and are there to be tasted, felt, and experienced. This is the land of rusty streams rushing among plantations and leaving a golden trail behind, of the unreal reflection of a Gothic chapel on the surface of the lagoon, of the constant liquid whisper of the heavy and mighty vegetation, of botanical gardens, and of the penetrating smell of absolute nature. Continue to a place where mud bubbles at the surface of the Earth and where huge caramel-coloured tanks invite you to soak in warm, medicinal waters. It is also the place to taste one of the most exotic dishes in the world: a variety of vegetables and meat cooked in earthy steam beneath the soil. Later, return to conclude the tour.
