2Day 02
Fly to Pokhara and Trek to Tikhedunga
Take an early morning 25-minute flight to Pokhara. Pokhara is the country's lake city, less polluted and crowded than Kathmandu. Views of the Annapurna range and the dominating figure of Machapuchhre, also known as Fishtail, at 6997 meters, fill the skyline and reflect beautifully in Phewa Lake. A private car will take us to Naya Pul, about an hour and a half from Pokhara. The trek starts at Nayapul and passes through the villages of Birethanthi, Sudame, and Hille. The trail follows the Bhurungdi Khola, with Khola meaning river in Nepali, throughout the day before finally reaching Tikhedunga. This is an easy and short day to kick off the trek. (1:30 hours drive and 3 hours trek)
-
3Day 03
Trek Through Ulleri to Ghorepani
After crossing the Bhurungdi Khola on a suspension bridge at the start of the day, we climb steep paved steps to the village of Ulleri, which gets the trek properly underway. The trail then becomes steadier and gradually ascends to Banthati. After Banthati, the path continues gently uphill through the shade of the rhododendron forest and passes Nange Thati, the last village before reaching Ghorepani. (5 hours)
-
4Day 04
Sunrise at Poon Hill and Trek to Tadapani
Set out early in the morning for a hike up to Poon Hill (1 hour), one of the best viewpoints in the region, to enjoy the sunrise above the spectacular mountain ranges of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri. We then return to Ghorepani for breakfast before continuing the trek towards Tadapani. The trail climbs a gentle ridge through another rhododendron forest, with views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges continuing to delight us. After Deurali, the trail leaves the ridge and descends steeply to Nange Thati. A steady and easy walk is followed by another descent to a small stream, with a final climb in the afternoon bringing us to Tadapani. (5 hours)
-
5Day 05
Descend to Ghandruk and Visit the Gurung Museum
The day starts with a descent through the जंगल passing through a couple of teashops at Bhaisi Kharka, and continues steeply down to the famous Gurung village of Ghandruk. Ghandruk is one of the ideal villages, located at an altitude of 1940 meters above sea level in the lap of Annapurna South. After lunch, visit the local village and the Gurung Museum, then stay overnight at Ghandruk. (3 hours trek)

6Day 06
Drive from Ghandruk to Pokhara
After breakfast, we will meet our land transport at Ghandruk and drive to Pokhara via Birethanti and Nayapul. The drive takes about three and a half hours and brings us back to the lake city of Pokhara. In the late afternoon, visit the area around Fewa Lake and stay overnight at your Pokhara hotel.
