Heritage Landmarks of Petrópolis
Begin with pick-up by your Brazil tour guide from your preferred hotel, airport, or seaport, then enjoy a 1 to 1.5-hour drive up the mountains to Petrópolis. Make your first stop at Palácio Quitandinha, a former casino and hotel with stunning architecture. Continue to the Imperial Museum, which served as the summer residence of the former Emperor and his court during the 19th century. Have lunch, then head to the Bohemia Brewery for an excellent beer-tasting experience. You may also make an optional stop at a chocolate shop to try local sweets and take a look at the curious Ipiranga House, known as the "House of 7 Errors" because of its unusual architecture.
