History of the Apartheid Era
Arrive at the Apartheid Museum and listen to a short explanation of the museum exhibits. Explore the museum at your leisure until it’s time to depart. There are 22 individual exhibition areas that showcase different time periods under brutal apartheid rule. The exhibits have been assembled and organised by a multi-disciplinary team of curators, filmmakers, historians and designers. They include provocative film footage, photographs, text panels and artefacts illustrating the events and human stories that showcase a turbulent period in South Africa during the apartheid era. At the end of the museum tour, your guide drives you back to your accommodation in Johannesburg.
