Athens Highlights and Eleusis Discovery
Meet your professional driver and begin the tour. Head to Acropolis Hill to see the Propylaea, Parthenon, Erechtheion, and the Temple of Athena Nike. Continue to the Theatre of Dionysus and the Odeon of Herodes Atticus. Sit on the steps and imagine what it must have felt like to watch a performance in this ancient theatre. See the Temple of Olympian Zeus, dedicated to the Olympian gods. Move on to the Panathenaic Stadium, the site of the first ancient Olympic Games, and Mount Lycabettus, which offers panoramic views of Athens. Learn about the Hellenic Parliament, the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Plateia Syntagmatos, and the Athenian Trilogy (Academy of Athens - University of Athens - National Library of Greece) as you visit these sites. Stop to visit the Holy Monastery of Daphni, a great example of Byzantine architecture. Later, head to the municipality of Eleusis to see its archaeological ruins and visit its museum. At the end of the tour, you will be dropped off at your location.
