Vientiane City Highlights and Buddha Park
Meet your tour guide, who will pick you up at 9:30 a.m. from your hotel and head to the Gate of Victory (Patuxai). See the Grand Stupa (Pha That Luang) and Wat Sisaket, the oldest surviving temple in Laos and one of the oldest temples in Vientiane, featuring more than 6,840 remarkable Buddha images. Visit Wat Ho Phra Keo Museum, which once served as the temple for the royal family. Enjoy a lunch break, and your guide can recommend a place for good local food. Drive out of town to Buddha Park (also known as Xieng Khuan), a famous sculpture park with more than 200 religious statues, including a huge 40-metre-high reclining Buddha image. Return to your hotel.
