Atlas Mountains, Berber Villages, Camel Ride and Imlil Hike
Departure - 8:00 AM. Pickup from your hotel in Marrakech. Drive through the winding mountain roads of the High Atlas Mountains. Lalla Takerkoust Valley - Camel Ride and Scenic Views (~1 hour drive). Arrive at Lalla Takerkoust village and dam. Enjoy a camel ride along scenic trails by the dam. Capture panoramic views of turquoise waters, mountains, and terraced fields. Photo stop at the lakeside. Ghighaya Valley - Berber Culture and Village Stop. Continue through the Ghighaya Valley, passing scenic landscapes and traditional Berber villages. Stop at a Berber family house in Tahanout village to experience Moroccan hospitality. Taste traditional Moroccan tea and local snacks. Drive through Asni, a bustling market town in the Atlas Mountains. Enjoy scenic mountain roads with terraces, orchards, and village views. Imlil Valley - Hiking, Waterfalls and Traditional Berber Meal. Arrive in Imlil Valley, the gateway to the High Atlas Mountains. Visit a Berber family house for a homemade traditional lunch (tagine, couscous, or Amazigh specialties). Hike through Imlil villages to explore local life, narrow streets, and terraced fields. Optional short trek along gentle paths suitable for all fitness levels. Visit the Imlil Waterfalls - ideal for photos, nature, and relaxation. Return to Marrakech (~1 hour 30 minutes drive). Drive back to Marrakech in the late afternoon. Drop-off at your hotel around 5:30-6:00 PM.
