Petra Discovery from Sharm El Sheikh via Taba and Aqaba
You will be transferred from your hotel in Sharm El Sheikh to Taba in a modern air-conditioned vehicle, with the drive taking approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes. At Taba, you will be met and assisted before taking the boat to Aqaba. From there, continue directly to Petra for a full-day visit to the Red Rose Rock City, the city of the Nabateans - the lost city carved into the mountains. Enjoy a horse ride to the Siq, a natural crack in the rocks, where the Nabateans developed the canyon into part of their architectural setting. Walk through the 1.2 km canyon and admire the beautiful carvings of statues, idols, and niches. On the way to the Treasury, enjoy the anticipation as this monument, standing for more than 2,000 years, suddenly appears from behind the corner. Then continue along the Street of Facades to the Roman Theatre, the Royal Tombs, the Roman colonnaded street, and Qasr al-Bent. After lunch, head back to Aqaba port to take the cruise to Taba, then drive back to your hotel in Sharm El Sheikh.
