Namobuddha Monastery and Hike to Historic Panauti

08:00 AM - Drive from Kathmandu to Namobuddha You will be picked up from your hotel by our guide and driver and drive approximately 1.5 hours from Kathmandu to Namobuddha. Upon arrival, visit the beautiful Thrangu Tashi Yangtse Monastery, a renowned Buddhist monastery offering modern education to young monks. From the monastery, enjoy panoramic views of Langtang, Dorje Lakpa, and Gaurishankar on clear days. 11:00 AM - Start hiking from Namobuddha to Panauti Begin your downhill hike toward Panauti, which takes about 4 hours. The trail passes through peaceful forests, terraced farmlands, and traditional villages. Along the way, you will observe rural life and gain insight into Newari culture, especially from locals working in the fields. Afternoon - Explore Panauti Upon reaching Panauti, explore this historic Newari town known for its well-preserved temples, traditional houses, and cultural heritage. Visit important sites such as Indreshwor Mahadev Temple, nearby shrines, museums, and local neighborhoods. 03:00 PM - Drive back to Kathmandu After sightseeing in Panauti, drive back to Kathmandu, concluding your Namobuddha to Panauti Day Hiking Trip.
