Private Abu Simbel Temples Tour from Aswan

Your tour representative will pick you up from your hotel in Aswan in a private air-conditioned vehicle for your visit to Abu Simbel, whose main attractions are the great sun temple of Ramses II and the temple of Queen Nefertari. Both temples were discovered in 1813 and were almost completely covered with sand. In 1960, the Egyptian government and UNESCO helped move both temples to avoid the rising waters of the Nile. Ramses II built the temple largely to honour himself. Inside, there is a mural depicting his famous victory at the Battle of Kadesh, where his army defeated his enemies. To the north of Ramses II's temple stands the Nefertari Temple, built by Ramses II for his favourite wife, Queen Nefertari, among his 200 other wives and concubines. After finishing the visit, you will be escorted back to your hotel in Aswan in your private air-conditioned vehicle.
