Stop At: Nevsky Prospekt Timing is flexible and you can start the tour any time you prefer. This tour can be customized to make it a unique experience for you. Your private local guide will meet you in the hotel lobby and discuss the tour itinerary with you at the beginning of the tour. 10am - Meet your guide in the morning at your centrally located hotel in St. Petersburg and begin your tour. Stroll along the bustling Nevsky Prospect — one of the city’s popular shopping streets — and admire the grand interior of the legendary Eliseyev Emporium. Pass By: Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood 10.30am - As you explore, take in top city attractions including the Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood, the Field of Mars, St. Michael's Castle and gardens — once a royal residence — and the Russian Museum (from outside). Pass By: Mikhailovsky Garden Snap astonishing pictures passing by St. Michael's Castle and gardens Stop At: The State Museum St. Isaac’s Cathedral 11.00am - Soak up the atmosphere at Isaac’s Square and admire 19th-century St. Isaac’s Cathedral. Stop At: Neva Embankments Stroll along the banks of the Moyka River to a trendy coffee shop. Here, sample local specialties such as poached egg on baked toast or homemade cottage cheese fritters with sour cream. Pass By: State Russian Museum Take pictures of this landmark from outside Pass By: The State Museum St. Isaac’s Cathedral One of the best photo ops in St Petersburg Pass By: The State Hermitage Museum 12.00pm - Head onward through Palace Square to the State Hermitage Museum and Alexander Garden, and listen as your guide sheds light on St. Petersburg’s colorful culture and traditions. Stop At: Nevsky Prospekt Stop at a second cafe and enjoy a refreshing cup of Russian tea or kvass accompanied by a Russian traditional snack. For an even more original taste of Russia, head instead to a country-style Soviet-era cafe called Dachniki — where traditional soup, salad and hot dishes are on the menu. You can choose one item from each category: (menu is different every day). Soups: borcht, chicken soup, solyanka soup, fish soup. Salads: Olivie (Russian salad), salad with herring, salad with cucumbers, tomatoes, onion and dill. Or else try fancy Candies by Coffee Room instead and have a 3-course meal in a fashionable setting. Soups: home made chicken soup, tomato soup with parmesan, cheese soup with becon, soup with beef, soup with spinach and shrimps, onion soup backed with cheese. Salads: Greek Salad, salad with tuna, salad with chicken. Hot meals: pork with sauce and rice, fish lasagne, schnitzel with cheese and puree. Stop At: Bank Bridge 12.30pm - Walk out along the pretty Griboyedov Canal to Bank Bridge for lovely city views. Stop At: Kazan Cathedral Enjoy fine views over 19th-century Kazan Cathedral. Pass By: Field of Mars (Marsovo Pole) 1.00pm - Finish your tour back at your hotel or somewhere in downtown, for example Field of Mars.
