Itinerary

  1. 1
    Day 01

Day 01: Beng Mealea & Koh Ke Group Today we will go to visit Jungle Temple Beng Mealea & Remote Area of Koh Ke Group. Beng Mealea-Jungle Temple You will travel through picturesque countryside and rural villages approximately 60km in the north-east direction to the jungle clad temple of Beng Mealea. Once in a complete state of disrepair resembling a giant jigsaw puzzle, Beng Mealea has recently been made more accessible with the addition of a wooden walkway throughout the structure assuring safe access and slight elevation, thus a better view. This mid 12th century temple features mixture of Buddhism and Hinduism attributes and is particularly mesmerising in the wet season. Koh Ke Group You will continue 50km north-east to the Koh Ker temple group – another ancient capital of the Khmer Empire. Scattered over a large area, the most prominent temple of this group by far is the pyramid-like Prasat Thom. A wooden staircase has been repaired recently and it is now again possible to climb up and enjoy the breathtaking view of the surrounding region. On a clear day one can see the Kulen Mountain range in the south-west direction and Dangrek Mountain in the north marking the border with Thailand. Village walk Tour & Homestay Overnight included Dinner When we arrive in village, we walk though village to see all activities and lives of community. Some of traditional houses have been changed into modern ones. Overnight in homestay in the village. Your dinner will be served at homestay. Homestay could be a real home of villagers who are living overthere. You will get reality of Countryside lives in Cambodia. What you will be provided for overnight stay is fan, room share and mosquito net. For toilets, they could be Asian style without running water. They are not so comfortable as hotels in the town but you will definitely be fresh and released with green environment and lifestyle.

    Day 02

Day 02: Preah khan Temple & Sambo Preikuk UNESCO World Heritage Site After we finish breakfast ( inclusion ), we start visiting Preh Khan kompung Svay Temple & World Heritage Site Sambo Preikuk. Preah Khan Kampong Svay- hiding temples in the remote area The archeological complex of Preah Khan Kampong Svay or Prasat Bakan or Bakan Svay Rolay is located 100 km east of Angkor, in Preah Vihear province, Cambodia. It stands as the largest single religious complex ever built during Angkorian Era, as its exterior enclosure is about 5 km square, even if the isolated location makes it one of less visited Angkorian sites. Sambo Preikuk Group-UNESCO World Heritage Site This tour is ideal for those not bothered by longer drives in order to gain another perspective on temple touring. It's essential to leave Siem Reap early in the morning as getting to Sambor Prei Kuk takes approximately two and half hours. Consisting of dozens of impressive brick prasats in semi-cleared jungle, many ruins display excellent examples of early Khmer art. This pre-Angkorian complex is an important destination for the serious temple visitor. Back to Siem Reap.
