Prophet Elias monastery Begin your day with a visit to the majestic Prophet Elias Monastery, perched at the highest point of Santorini. From this breathtaking vantage, enjoy sweeping panoramic views of the entire island and neighboring isles—an ideal setting for stunning photographs that truly capture the spirit of the Aegean. Start your day by heading up to Prophet Elias monastery, the highest point of the island. From this vantage point, you can admire an exclusive view of the entire island and those around and take striking photographs. The next stop will be Pyrgos village, the old capital of Santorini. Offering panoramic views of both sides of the island, Pyrgos is probably the most beautiful traditional village of the island. The traditional houses and paths are built around the old castle combining Cycladic and Venetian architecture. Wander in the paths like you are in a maze and maybe take some pictures with the cute donkeys, your little explorers will find them very interesting! Before you leave the village, stop at a traditional café to enjoy some Greek yogurt with honey and nuts. Lost Atlantis museum Your adventure continues at the innovative Lost Atlantis Experience museum, where history and myth come alive through immersive, interactive exhibits. Step into the legend of Atlantis in an exhilarating 9D experience, engage with the ideas of the great philosopher Plato, and uncover the ancient secrets and stories behind Santorini’s mythical past. Akrotiri Lighthouse Then head to the island’s southern tip and the Akrotiri Lighthouse—an idyllic location to soak in the boundless blue of the Aegean Sea. Don’t forget to take some memorable photos with the picturesque swing hanging from a seaside tree. The last stop will be Perivolos black sandy beach, the best of the island for swimming and relaxing. This family-friendly beach is the perfect place to enjoy the sun and swim in the crystal clear water of the Aegean sea. Snorkeling equipment will be provided to you to make the experience even better. Many beach bar-restaurants are also located here, so maybe you can rent sunbeds to chill out or have lunch by the sea. For those who want a little bit more action, water sports are also available in this area.
