(6-100 Matsumura, Kanazawa-shi) [Ethical craft experience] ▶Name engraving experience Cast aluminum cutlery rests are made by removing impurities from aluminum plates used by newspaper companies in Ishikawa prefecture when printing newspapers and aluminum cans discarded at Hyatt Centric Kanazawa (hotel) using metal refining technology inherited for 300 years and circulating them into beautiful aluminum materials. ■Choose your favorite design from approximately 15 types of modern cast aluminum cutlery rests. ■Use alphabetic and numeric engravings to engrave with a hammer.You will make your own cutlery rest with your own pattern, name, initials, birthday, anniversary, serial number, etc. ▶Color foil experience Hakuichi Co., Ltd. has promoted innovation so that people can use Kanazawa foil in their daily lives while protecting the manual work of gold leaf manufacturing that has continued for 400 years in Kanazawa.Color foil is a type of foil that changes the color of the metal itself due to a chemical reaction using natural power rather than applying artificial colorants.Normally, it is colored foil used in Kanazawa foil crafts and art works, but since the color is changed using natural phenomena, colored foil that does not meet our standards is produced.The foil produced during this manufacturing process is used as “reasonable foil.” ■Apply a special base to the cutlery rest with your name engraved on it, and freely color the scraps of colored foil. Finally, finish with a top coat.* Since “split foil” is used, the type of foil changes depending on the experience. ■Traditional sand casting inherited from 1714.
