Kora Walk Around the Dalai Lama's Residence and McLeod Ganj
Meet your guide for a Kora walk in Dharamshala, one of the greatest Tibetan settlements in India. Your guide will lead you on this Tibetan holy walk around the Dalai Lama's residence and monastery, situated on a hill above the town of Dharamshala. Along the way, you will meet locals as well as monks and nuns from the monastery, and walk and chant the holy mantras with them. During the walk, enjoy picturesque views of the Dhauladhar mountain range of the Himalayas. As you walk beneath Tibetan prayer wheels and flags, discuss spiritual life and the Dalai Lama in detail, and learn about Tibetan customs and traditions and how they have harmonised with local Himalayan tribes and culture. At the end of the walk, your guide will take you to the street market of McLeod Ganj, where you will see local people and members of the Tibetan refugee community selling handmade items such as woollen clothing, handicrafts, dry fruits, and local street food. This also gives you the chance to interact with more locals in the area before wrapping up the tour and saying your goodbyes.
