Takayama and Hida Furukawa Cultural Journey
Depart from Toyama or Kanazawa Station at 09:00 and travel by private vehicle to Takayama. Arrive in Hida Furukawa at 10:30 and take a peaceful morning walk along the Seto River, observing the white-walled storehouses (Shikabe Dozo) and hundreds of colorful carp. Enjoy lunch in Takayama at 12:15, featuring Hida Beef and local delicacies such as beef sushi and mitarashi dango. Visit Takayama Jinya at 13:15, the only remaining Edo-period government office in Japan, and learn about 17th-century law, history, and architecture.
